June 3, 2013 CUNY starts continued education off right with pots of steaming coffee(Dunkin!), a ginormous fruit platter (Pineapple!), and a diverse array of bagels(Sesame!). As a willing guinea pig of CUNY Publishing Institute’s inaugural class, I give it a capital F for fantastic. For anyone who couldn’t shell out $$$, here’s a recap of vitals you missed.

Whenever I feel small, unaccomplished, insignificant, I try to remember that we are slated to make a difference; even if it’s placing a single, lonely pebble upon the vast miles of sand. With enough patience and time, these pebbles will become a formidable wave breaker, capable of stopping Poseidon himself.

BLVR: Is the problem with e-books partly a problem of color?
MS: Yes. Picture books depend on color, largely. And they haven’t perfected the color in those machines. But it’s not that. It’s giving up a form that is so beautiful. A book is really like a lover.
